357 Have large loop/ want regular style

Post by Spider »

Got a deal on a 357 with the large loop. Would like a regular style. Can I buy one somewhere? I'd like to use my new case I built for either my 44 or my 357 but that damn loop won't fit. Not to mention it just feels slower than the smaller loop.

You might post a trade ad in the classified. See the bottom of the Board Index.

I was able to purchase one from Braztech and replace it. The advice I got was very helpful, thread linked here:

A shout out to Ranch Dog, with what may be the most critical information, in making sure you have a serial number from a Rossi product that is built with the part you want. I was able to get away with just having the model number, but the customer service rep asked for an SN immediately, and only after being VERY nice was I able to get what I wanted with the MN. She was very nice, but not well informed on the products.

Good luck!

PS, and yeah, I really don't like the big loops either... Slower and more painful on the knuckles.

People use VINs for that kind of thing all the time....just get a VIN off eBay and use it to get the proper files for tuning aftermarket software.....blah blah.

Good job!

I see no sense in big loops either but I don;t rag on others' likes.

I like the Big Loops. I really like the way they look, the only thing is the action has to be worked a little differently. More of a forward action instead of a downward action.

Good way to describe it. The only large loop ive had was the Ranch Hand and the overall short length plus the huge loop made it very hard to keep on target while shooting. Thankfully ive small hands and while messing about at home i put on three pairs of gloves at once and could still fit three fingers in the standard size loop

I think were all agreed though, they sure *look* cool
