I'm a fan of both the 20" octagonal barrels, and the 16" round ones. I have both a 357 and a 45 Colt in the 16" length, with the big loop levers, and a 45 Colt in a 20" Octagon (as well as a 44 Mag 20" Octagon and a Stainless steel 44 Mag 20" round). I'd say it's a matter of preference, but like some, if it's available, I tend to get it NOW. I'm the type that if I wait, the one will never appear, and the one that WAS available will disappear, never to be seen again.
