Re: 454 Stock ?
The correct way to fire a gun with the crescent buttplate is to turn the body at an angle to the target so that the buttplate falls into the pocket between the shoulder proper and the arm. It is made to fit that joint perfectly. It is a quite easy skill to attain by a little practice. Fire a few African hunting rifles in large caliber with crescent butts and you will QUICKLY learn the proper method, or else go around with a huge purple green bruise on your shoulder.

Re: 454 Stock ?
Where does one order .454 M92 style padded stocks? I like the idea of one on 44 mag
Hmm, i wonder if it would fit an octagon 92?

Re: 454 Stock ?
I found both of mine on eBay. Still haven't gotten around to refinishing them but that will happen sometime this summer.GRV01 wrote:Where does one order .454 M92 style padded stocks? I like the idea of one on 44 mag

Re: 454 Stock ?
well dug around eBay and theyre no where to be found. Contacted Rossi by chat and Jonathan told me I could buy one if I had a 454 serial number, but couldn't verify stock without the serial. Or in other words, I could buy one if they had them but he doesn't know if they have them and cant check...without a 454 serial
So. Does anyone with one feel like finding out?
in other news, I checked Boyd's and you can order a 92 Rossi stock with a butt pad for only an additional $11, but unfortunately Ive read the bad reviews on the Boyds' fit on our beloved 92s so theres that, but I will admit, all those options could sure make for a snazzy rifle
PS i did find a few 454 serials but they were Puma models and thus not found using Rossis serial lookup tool on their website.
