Pic or it didn't happen ;)
Sounds easy enough
Here you go. The flash makes it look grey but it's really a matte black color.

Looks good, I may do the same :)

I like the idea of the 7 mm bullet.

I simply removed mine and left it open. Haven't had a problem with it.

I bought a Winchester 94AE last month, got a good deal on a safe queen. It was made on 02-03 so it had the fugly cross bolt safety. I removed the safety and bought some nylon 1/4" hole plugs from ebay to fill the holes. Looks a lot better now, IMO.
I removed the cross bolt safety on my newest R92 and used one of the plugs. 1/4" is a little too small so I ordered some 5/16" plugs. I'll let you guys know how the 5/16" plugs work.

Here's the cross bolt safety on the 94

Here's the R92 with the same 1/4"plug. It fits a little loose, I think the 5/16" will work a lot better.

Oh yeah! Thanks to Archer for his help on the Winchester

Get an old one that never had a safety if it's that big of a deal.

That looks great, let me know how the 5/16" plug fits.
I went to the range today for load development.
My safety is so easy to move, it went to safe position on its own when I closed the bolt.
I will be removing it tomorrow.

I will, I should have em before Saturday, I think I'll be getting a dozen of them. I sent out a few to members on another site. If they work out I'll send you a couple.

hmm, curious ... gofish, did you have to trim the length to prevent interfering
with the firing pin ?
