What Cartridge Is Your R92 Chambered In?

With a large percentage of the forum made up of R92 owners, I was curious what was the cartridge choice made by owners. No right or wrong, as this is a personal choice and multiple selections are part of the poll as many owners have several models.

This poll will be kept active so you can change your selections as you buy or sell R92s. Feel free to post your comments as well.

44 mag, x2

Trust me, after owning this rifle and a companion Ruger Blackhawk in 44 special, I understand what the fuss is about.

I hit the poll as .44 mag, but it could have been either that or .357 at the time of purchase last February. At the time (and still) I wanted both but only had funds for one and chose the .44 mag thinking it would be harder to find later. Nope. Been watching locally for the .357 and the rare times one has been on a shelf was when I was "unfunded". Still no regret with the .44 as it's a perfect companion to the Super Red Hawk, but I still have the itch for a stainless 16 inch .357.

.44 Mag
.357 Mag

I'm sort of in the market for another .44 Mag in a 20" and I'd probably not turn down a 24" .357 Mag if the price was right.

I also own a Winchester 94 in .44 Mag and assorted revolvers in .44 Mag and .357 Mag.
I've avoided .45 Colt/Casull and .44-40 calibers even though I reload.
