Ok I got to the indoor range today to test fire the CJ. I got 14 rounds off (with a sore shoulder, forgot my shoulder pad at home:( ).
Then I ran into a problem. The cylinder release would not let it open. I took it to the gunshop where I bought it. They took the release latch off but still couldn't get it to release the cylinder. So he was going to have his armorer check it out tomorrow. But as he reinstalled the release latch the darn thing started working again. It mast have been a faulty install by the factory of the release latch that came loose during the firing of those 12 rounds. Lack of good QC.

I would not shot it until it gets inspected. Did you notice if it was shaving bullets at all. I would not risk it. Somthing is not right. Be safe.

I took the CJ 44 to the outdoor range this morning and shot about 4 or 5 cylinders of 44 Magnum and had NO problems with the cylinder release latch. Everything seems to working right. So the issue looks like it was a Quality Control issue at Braztech/Rossi during production/assembly in Brazil.
