It's not often I'm glad I held off on trying a new gun that looks good but I guess I'm glad I did with this one. I thought the .44 magnum version would finally make me want one of these rifles. It seemed to have everything going for it. Guess not.

In December JimK embarked upon a possible solution to the power loss in his Rossi; has anyone heard of his results?

One opinion, noted several times on this forum, is that the power loss was inevitable given the revolver blowby. The suggestion is that Rossi went with safety first and produced the least dangerous possibility. But we can't know that for certain without some experimentation. Jim K's results could be most informative.
