Rossi SxS Coachgun - 12 gauge

Post by pricedo »

Have a Rossi SxS 12 gauge Coachgun with 20" bbls that I've owned for years.
Has exposed hammers like the coachguns of old.
The gun is light & has a nice balance to it & I believe both barrels are modified choke.
The dark Brazilian hardwood & the exposed hammers give the gun a legacy look.
It's a real easy gun to break apart & pack in a duffel bag or rucksack for a survival gun.

I had a TTN Armory coach gun fora while. It was a Chinese clone of the Colt 1878 shotgun. Beautiful gun, mine even had nice wood. No safeties just the external hammers. Unfortunately they copied the Colt a little too closely, right down to having WAY too much drop in the stock. If you've ever shot a Henry Golden Boy, it has the same problem. In a shotgun you need a good fit, at least I do. I couldn't hit anything with that gun without really concentrating and aiming it. No way I was going to snap shoot and hit anything smaller than a suburban. I sold it and picked up a Stoeger, haven't looked back.

YUP !
No "Interarms" stamp on mine though.......just "Amadeo Rossi SA -made in Brazil"
The one in the add looks like it has been rode hard & put away wet.
My Coach Gun had a rib down the middle between the 2 barrels and it wasn't rusty & pitted like the featured example.

28" barrel !...........that's a long snout for a coach gun.
Guess it was designed for drivers whose stagecoach route took them past a few good duck sloughs. :D

I have a 20ga Armado Rossi{SP?} Overland, very nice gun, i got it from an ol'timer friend of mine{god rest his soul} who actually found it one nite while coon huntin leaning against a tree. No its not rusted or anything, its in good shape.
Does anyone know where to get any parts for them? The right hammer i thought was bent, but upon further examination i see that the hammer ISNT bent but is leaning to the right from something internal being worn or ??? It functions fine, but i would like to correct this problem before it doesnt work correctly.
Any help on this matter would be Greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks alot
BloodGroove4570

PS
I tried Numrich arms but no luck their...
