My first attempt at cold bluing. I reblued the tang and receiver and touched up a few spots on the barrel.

I think all that is left is adding fiber optic sights, polishing the working parts, and lightening the trigger spring. later this summer or in the fall. Then I can call this one cosmetically done.

I hope my comment above didn't come off negetive . I meant I've never been able to be happy with cold blue. I'd be happy with how yours turned out. It looks good.

AK, your comment didn't come out rude at all, I knew what you meant... I have seen a lot of food blue jobs turn out horrifically wrong. I was very hesitant to even try it.

My Brother had my Dads 62A Winchester, it was a nice 22.
Don't ask me to do anything where where I can't take Bible and Gun, I would leave Dog home, but reluctantly.

I have good success with cold blue, so long as I throw the instructions away, :D

I am having way too much fun shooting this little pea shooter. This winter I will be doing fiber optic sights and then call it finished for now.
