Just A Rossi Model 62 SAC

Post by Conman »

Well, figured since I am now a member because of my Model 92 I might as well get my Model 62 in the photo album.

I picked this up a few years ago at a local gun show. It is the handiest little twenty-two to keep by the back door!!

I have the blued model..... that sucker will drive tacks. One of the best 22's I have ever owned. Nice pic's Conman!!! Now all we need is someone who stocks 22 anymore. There are a few around here but I swear it is cheaper to shoot belted magnums......

Tuco, I got lucky back in 2007 when some on-line company was getting rid of their .22 ammo. I bought a few cases at about a hundred bucks a case delivered. Unless I get real stupid - or the teen-aged grandson goes ape - I have a life time supply still in the ammo cabinet.

We don't waste much so I think I'm alright ............ we can only hope the manufacturers finally get caught up on the production end and ammunition supply gets back to somewhere near "normal".

Sounds like you got lucky and at a good price. I don't see those days coming back anytime soon.

Is this the model that breaks down to two pieces I think my stepdad in my past had this model or like it it broke down. I could shot nuts out of trees back when my eyes were better with it before he was my ex stepdad at 10YRS old. Loved that gun may need to put this on my list.

akuser47...........yep, this is the model that comes apart by turning the "takedown screw" on the left side of the receiver just above the trigger guard. Exactly the same as the Winchester Model 62. It really makes a short package for carrying.

Mine comes apart pretty easy. Putting it back together is a pain sometimes for me. Everything looks good and the screw appears to be lined up but it will not start. All in all it is a great little rifle and a real shooter. :D
