Ruger Mark II

Post by LowKey »

My nephew recently discovered the joy of shooting the Ruger Mark II 22.

The pistol was long overdue for a thorough cleaning.
However, the Ruger manual provided minimal guidance for disassembly and reassembly.

With the help of the University of YouTube, the project became possible.

Thank goodness for the souls that are willing to share their knowledge and experience online.

I have a MKIII 22/45 with MKII Volq hammer (magazine safety delete) parts. I've spent as much in mods as the base gun cost. It's a laser.

I'm a big fan of the MKII.
I have three of them, two are great and the standard is ok if a bit of a pain to reassemble.
Until I got that one I thought I had them figured out and all you fellows out there who had problems getting them apart and back together were just mechanically ill inclined.
