Wards Model SB620 aka Stevens 620

Postby alphalimafoxtrot » 04 May 2018 05

No particular reason for taking these pics, other than I was cleaning guns and had my Wards Model SB620 aka Stevens 620 pump 20-gauge shotgun nice and done up.

This is a fun gun. Original 28" bird barrel is in the closet, I bought an NOS Stevens barrel from Numrich a few years back and shortened it.

I have your shotgun's grandfather, a 1924 Wards Westernfield Model 30 (Stevens 520).
A John Browning design.
This is an 18 in barrel, also have a 30 in barrel.

This gun will slam fire.
The Stevens 520 was Clyde Barrows favorite.

Favorite shotgun, but Barrow's favorite rifle was a sawed off BAR.

Very pretty 620s! Thanks for the photos.

Nice old 520 you have!
I also had a few 520's and they were Montgomery Wards guns as well. This 520 came to me in a trade - stripped prior to reblue.
