They are fun.
I've never managed to pick one up although I've shot a few.
A buddy of mine did his DCM match when he was applying for a Garand at a reduced range 300 yard course.
There were a couple guys there with SKSs doing the same thing.
They had some problems hitting the 300 yard half scale targets that simulated the standard 600 yard firing.
