1967 Marlin Model 989 M2

Just finished another vintage Marlin 22 semi auto.
My Model 989 M2 still had the scarce original rear sight.
I wanted to add a scope but did not want to loose the iron sight. The solution I found is a vintage original see thru Ironsighter Model 600 mount which is for scopes with 3/4 inch tube.
The scope is the 4X GruBee WolfPup which is a currently available reproduction of the old Baby Redford rimfire scope. The scale and proportions of this scope fit well on the M2. The optic quality is excellent, adjustments have positive clicks, adjustment caps are metal, there is no plastic on the scope.
I also added a Buffalo leather sling with bullet loops, made by Dingo Gun Products in Australia.

Very pretty! Great application of Ironsighter rings. I re-did the scope mounts on my Dad's old Winchester Model 74 a while back, and I'd wished I'd found the WolfPup first. Thanks!

I've passed on at least a half dozen Marlin .22 "M1" rifles at cheap prices because the rear sight is always missing and is worth the same as a rifle without one.

I don't know if I've ever seen one of the Marlin M1s.
I've got an Iver Johnson. It was my first .22 LR and I feel like I about wore it out.
