Hopefully it'll stand up to the reviews as safe and reliable practice ammo.
This 1000 10mm with 1000 9mm was about the same price I paid for the other case of ball alone.
I might not have done it except for the new regulations going into effect next year about buying ammo here in Kali. The idiots in the government have got folks who never bothered to keep any ammo on hand stockpiling cases.

Those of us who actually shoot a little have been putting a few rounds by for a rainy day since Clinton was in office.
^^^ True dat. Thank goodness I learned years ago to buy it cheap and stack it deep. I saw just how bad it was for the unprepared during the ammo famine of 2013 and was glad that I had been squirelling away my stash for the lean times.

Congrats on your Kimber 10mm. I'm fighting the urge to grab myself a G20 before Glock decides not to renew for the roster. I swore to myself not to get into a new caliber before this ammo ban hit, but I've been thinking of backsliding lately. :?

I've added 10mm, 6.5 Grendel, 50 Beowulf in the past six months and won a 7mm 08. In the past year or so I added 7.62x39.
Kinda weird in that I'm a .45 ACP, .308, .30-06, 5.56, kind of guy who somehow managed to expand to 9mm, .30-30, .44 Mag, .38/.357, 243, 7,62x25 and .32 ACP over a period of 20 years.

The 10 hiccupped a bit as expected but I expect it'll wear in pretty quickly.
I didn't get to push too many rounds out of it. Lack of daylight.

I've had this one out another time or two for a few more rounds but I've still not broken it in very well.
I have upped the recoil spring weight since the last range trip to see if that helps. Factory weight is supposed to be 18lbs for the 10mm I had a 20lb spring left over from some experiments with the .45 ACP 1911s. (I typically run an 18lb spring in a standard 5" .45 ACP 1911 instead of the 16lb factory spring.)

I did end up with a couple Wilson mags and they seem to be about the same as the Kimber or MecGar ones functionally. Apparently I ordered one to try and forgetting I had it ordered a second for the same reason.

I also found out that Ed Brown offers mags in this caliber. I've had them recommended to me highly for 1911 mags from a coworker and former sheriff who carried them daily as duty mags. He said normally Wilson was good but he'd had some issues with at least one of them. On the other hand he'd not had any experience with the 10mms of any flavor.

Picked up another 500 rounds the other day as well.

At the range today for the first time after swapping the recoil spring.
I didn't feel the slide on frame slam that I was feeling with the stock spring.
I ran 5 mags and 4 of them were flawless. One locked back with loaded rounds in it a couple times.
Not done yet but it seems to be breaking in and the increased strength spring seems to have not hurt and maybe helped quite a bit.
