10mm Anyone

Post by Archer »

I've tried posting a note twice already only to have the network claim it lost connection.
This is a first for this in this place with this computer and router so it's possible the ether doesn't want me posting tonight.

Suffice it to say that I've decided I'm finally going to get one in this caliber after over three decades of wanting one.

Hipoint is going to be releasing a carbine in 10 mm. I think I might get it as I have always been interested in this cartridge I just didn't want to spend a lot getting into it. Ammo is still a issue so I would need to invest in some dies and components to feed her.

I have a Glock model 40 with a KKM barrel so I can shoot home cast projectiles. It's a neat gun but I'm not sold on semi-autos (it's my only one). I'm a die hard revolver guy

Kimber Eclipse Custom II.
Carry night sights.
1 magazine. (One of the things I DON'T like about Kimber is the whole 1 mag per gun, especially on the odd calibers.) Normally I'd get a few Wilson Combat mags to go with it but reviews on their 10mm mags are very mixed. Looks like the options are Kimber, Metalform or Wilson.
I need to get a case of ammo.
Then reloading dies, bullets and powder to recharge them.

Wow, "teaser" video is right! As in NO information.

I have an older 4095 carbine in .40, and it's a killer. Accurate and reliable, almost boringly so. There's a video on YouTube where these guys took one, reamed the chamber to 10mm and put in a heavier recoil spring, and voila - a 10mm HiPoint carbine! Worked like a champ. I want one.

A former coworker of mine had a 995 and he really liked it. Didnt opt for Hipoint pistols though, instead he had a PT111 and a 709 Slim both from Taurus

I think of both Taurus and HiPoint in the same market, and wonder if now that HP is under new management id theyll steer into new ground with either new calibers or doublestack mag configurations on *atleast* thr carbines. I also wonder though whos steering Taurus as their decision to try to compete in the AR market was absurd. They should've brought a PCC to the US and competed at HiPoints x95 price point

But what do i know?

Greetings
I think you can get a new Dan Wesson 1911 in 10mm. Or check around for a used one.
