Rossi isn't making anything that I don't have or had and a dog has to have a Christmas present. It arrived yesterday, Savage 11 Scout which is chambered in 308 Win.

How thoughtful can a man be? I nominate RD as man of the year for that most thoughtful gift to his dog. Did he fire it yet?

Congrats!
I still say that's a nice looking gun.

I got myself a birthday present that looked like this, along with WAY too many new bit sets:

As to firearms, I picked up the FN/FAL as my last one this year and I'm back to slowing picking up parts to finish a few new AR uppers. I completed all my lowers last year due to new CA stupidity.

In that she only has one shoulder, she has asked me to help her with that!

Two boar hogs ago, my dog ran out and tangled with one right after I shot it. I didn't realize it hadn't expired and when I put the light on my 45 lb dog, a red healer, she was wrestling with this boar that was three times her weight. I had been busy calling my neighbor to come and get it, he has three teenage boys to feed, so I was now trying to figure out how to end the fight my dog started. About that time, the hears the neighbor's truck cross the cattle guard so she breaks off the hog fight because the ranch, at some odd hour of the night, has an intruder! She is tearing up the road so I shoot the hog again, neighbor steps out of the truck & is immediately attacked by a three legged red heeler, and my dog sleeps the sleep of a well satisfied ranch dog that night!

My wife said the dog was the one that needed the gun so; hey, I'm just facilitating! Nothing like a good chuckling in the morning. I was wondering if you guys and gals would catch that.

Archer, I need to spend my money on some tools but then my wife would expect something other than shooting out of me. Seriously, I really need some new equipment like that as mine are worn.
