It followed Linda home and it's a keeper

Post by Ohio3Wheels »

It's a Sig P238 tried to post a picture but this box says it's 240KN but the forum says it's bigger so try again after I rework it.

So 380 in the stable now, got dies and a Lee mold is supposed to arrive today from Mid South. Nice little gun, I really like that it's all metal except for the grips and the usual Sig quality.

More later.

Okay, windoze lied about the size so Gimp2 and I fixed it we'll try again.

The model she picked is called Soldier, the frame is an OD green like with the black upper. I think it's a good looking gun and she likes it.

Yeap, great choice! I was worried it might be the "rainbow" they offer. My wife would select something like that!

We both have kind of mixed feeling about the Rainbow. I do kinda like the other Ti coated model and there can be some advantage to Ti coating beyond cosmetics, but I still prefer something a bit more conservative. I rather like the all black version. She like the color scheme and it came down to the fact that it came with the 7 round magazine with the extra room for the pinky. I was able to get a second 7 round from Cabelas online as no one local had any. So far just partial box of 90gr FMJ through it, then our half hour of range time expired and we had other places we needed to get to. More range time later this week we hope.

That is a nice little gun. Looks like it is in my favorite configuration.....a handful of grip with a smallish barrel.

The P238 was my first carry, and have had it for 17 flawless months. Snappiness took getting used to, but a high quality item that shoots well for its size. Enjoy.

Nice. I need the similar one in 9mm. I'll take black with wood grips please.

Greetings
Does SIG make this model in 9mm Mak ? That would really be a "snappy hole puncher".

Yes it would but I don't know the answer to that. I down loaded and attempt to print the Sig catalog but it's a weird landscape format that my printer doesn't seem to cope with to well.
