Accurate.jpg
I had it out yesterday, accuracy was messed up by the trigger being crusty.
Still I was able to hit the lid off a Spay paint can at 50 yards
Last night I took it all apart and cleaned everything, re-adjust trigger and lock,
I posted stuff on this right after I built it last year, forum locked, too old.
In the forum I forget who asked if I shoot it with a stick to hold up the barrel.
I do not, how ever when shooting a spray can at 125 yards, almost out of sight, I have this thing I use, it has 2 legs, a rubber top, I set in a lawn chair and prop off this. This gun is dead on out to 175 yards.
It is the most accurate thing I have ever shot.
My brother had a 220 Swift, he could hit Grass hopper at 100 yards, killer optics.
My Air Rifle is very accurate at 20, it has optics.
But for open sites, this big rifle is a blast, never fails to draw a crowd.
And if you read this, this is why I like long barrels.

Don't ask me to do anything where where I can't take Bible and Gun, I would leave Dog home, but reluctantly.

Greetings
That should get the job done.
Nothing like a self made smoke screen to shoot and scoot behind.
Have you tried and 3F in that barrel ? Been switching to 3F in all my muzzle loaders little by little. Burns cleaner and I use 15% less on an average. Have not tried it yet in the caliber 82 though.
The Bess was the last one so now I think all my flinters are except the 82 are on 3F. One powder for priming and shooting.

My powder is Goex fffg. Thanks for your post.
I wanna build a long range Hawken and a flint lock in 54. I got the beginnings for one.

My nuther favorite. I call it "My l'ill Feefty"
I traded a wire rope for part of a kit. It had barrel, trigger, brass parts, rear site and ,,,a box with screws, my nephew and I made the wood, I made the front site and the lock is out of an old rifle. The Ram Rod is a Chevy 454 Push Rod with a Briggs and Stratton Valve guide for the jag, its telescopic, after you pull it from the gun a screw in the back makes it long enough to do the job.
I carry it in the sling in photo, shares balls with my "Big Feefty"(Other Favorite), same cap, but only 40 grns of fffg in this little show off, it slams them metal dinger real hard.
And the leather is my Possibles Bag, missing is my Patch Knife, getting sharpened at the time. +guns
