I have a pic, from before computers, of my lever and my Ruger SA, Sorry I had to reduce image quality so much. I put them in a tree just to shoot the shot.
I still have both, As a rifle the lever is UNMATCHED for Balance, and the SAME I will say for my SA.
To just stand and shoot, both will place a shot better than any others I own.
One can only carry so much ammo, best to make each shot count.

Don't ask me to do anything where where I can't take Bible and Gun, I would leave Dog home, but reluctantly.

That's a great old picture! And you're right - nothing feels better in the hand(s) than a lever or single action.

Good morning
I agree a SA is a fine revolver to haul about with the same caliber model 92.
I also enjoy my Dan Wessons with 4 inch barrels along for the walk. DW's are strong enough double actions and have long enough cylinders that my 45 Colt Rossi loads are easily interchangeable. They do weight a bit more than the RBH's. I do like that extra DW weight and double action option with heavy cast bullets especially if things "get real western" down in the river bottoms I tend to spend time in when up north there.

I used to have a 4" DW. It was an accurate revolver - not sure why I ever got rid of it. Probably saw a S&W I thought I couldn't live without.

ha ha ha, reading this post makes me wonder why I keep putting
off getting that compact 9mm I've been fantasying over.

The practical side of me thinks more dies, another plate, more
brass and bullets. I don't shoot the handguns I have often enough
now.

The real dilemma is the fact that the lady of the house has not
uttered her famous " you only have two hands why do you need
another gun ".
