Gotta love a good Smith Model 17

Another gun I'm not sure you can have too many of.
Mine are 6" variations.

Got a buddy who has one from the sixties with the heavier barrel and the target hammer and trigger.
It is VERY sweet.

I have a couple buds who have 617s and they are pretty good.
One of them has a 4" and the shorter barrel is more fun than you might think.

Anybody else like these little .22s?

I've got a pencil barrel and another K serial ribbed barrel.

Too much fun when you can find ammo.

I have my own 17-3 I bought back in 1976. It would be interesting to know how many rounds have been through it. I also have a K22 of 1948 vintage as well as a first year M48. Great guns that cost more to shoot now than my .357 handloads. The world is upside-down. ;)

I have a 1948 vintage K-22, and a M-18 as well. They are exceptionally accurate revolvers....
