Re: H&R to stop production
I have seen this mentioned a number of times. I'm of an opinion that the H&R single shot price point has grown to high .
I checked last year and a .223 heavy barrel with the Boyd's heavy plywood stock was on sale at a farm supply store. They had a sale price of a little north of $420 .

Re: H&R to stop production
A couple of months ago when I called the H&R Oklahoma repair center, the guy I spoke to told me they had discontinued the barrel exchange program but didn't indicate Marlin/Remington was going kaput.
Incidently, they re-did my trigger and replaced the safety,,,free of charge. I'm estimating trigger pull to be about 4 lbs.
