Bushy A2 hider was a pain.

Post by akuser47 »

I wanted to remove my Bushmaster M4 A2 flashider and I thought it was going to be easy. I assummed wrong I ended up haveing to use a torch to heat the hider to get it to break free. I thought it was going to be like legos all in spec and easy cheesy. I will not assume this ever again. Now what I will use on it instead of the A2 :?: I have yet to decide. +corn

What made you decide to remove it at all? new look maybe? For my second job I have been researching and kicking around the idea of building an AR Pistol looking at one with a 11" barrel. This weapons platform can be deployed from inside a transport vehicle without dragging the front of the barrel across the driver.

The original Bushmaster (now wyndham arms) is known for setting beyond tight, using too much thread locker, and if it's staked in then it's REALLY staked in good. And three Bushy's later I've had each problem to some degree or another.
