Gratuitous Ruger Blackhawk Pics

Post by Model 52 »

My most recent Blackhawk - a 4 5/8" .45 Colt/.45 ACP convertible made in 2002.

And it's bigger, older brother, a 7 1/2" .45 Colt made in 1979.

You call that gratuitous?!?!? I was expecting at least 10 pics!
:-D

Very nice btw. And those holsters are works of art in and of themselves. Who makes them?

The holsters are your garden variety Triple-K brand holster. Those are model #114 "Cheyenne" holster and they can be found at Midway, Cabelas, etc, for $50-$55. They come in black or in brown walnut. They are not lined, but they are well blocked and retain the pistol well even without the hammer loop, and since they don't rattle around in the holster, wear on the finish is minimal. The hammer loop is also very adjustable for length and it comes with leg tie downs if you want to use them.

I like the holster design as while it's not one piece, you can just slip them on a regular carry belt, or unsnap the flap on the back and put them in the slot on a drop down style holster. They also match a Cabelas buscadero style belt I've had for 15 years or so.
