Gunslinger Spring Kit revisited

A huge "thank you" to Ranch Dog for the helpful tip regarding the use of dental floss to ease the installation of the Gunslinger ejector spring.
Mine kept breaking. Clearly "European" grade floss is inferior to the "Texan" grade available to you lot over there in the Land of Trump, but I got there in the end.
I finally concluded that temporary re-installation of the stop pin and a dummy round in conjunction with the floss would be the only way to prevent me chasing the ejector collar all over the room. It was only after I had finished the job that I found RD's "revisited" instructions
Anyway, all back together and what a difference. Nice light trigger and gentle ejection of spent cases. Not quite sure that I like the lighter movement of the lever but that should be easy to get used to.
Thanks again for the helpful tips. Now for some range time................ :D

I haven't tried the floss. I used all three of my hands. I don't expect to take mine apart ever again but I don't have 14 of them either.

LOL

Heck, I reuse it several times and then save the strands. Eventually, I will weave ten of them together to make a tow strap for my 4X4!

Seriously, I would like to know how the Lee team installs it. I've always meant to leave a review on Brownell's so I took care of that this morning.

I will also check the 92 sticky to make sure it goes to the revision instructions.

As a hunter, I'm sold on the spring kit. The longest shot I've made on game is a 190-yards plus. The stock or modified stock springs would have never allowed that to happen. Your mind has to concentrate more on the trigger than the target, plus I don't lose my brass in the field.

Yep, need to do that. It wasn't even listed.

God knows how they do it - they certainly don't give any clues at all in their "instruction" sheet. I reckon they use a little tool that fits over the ejector rod and lets you push the ejector in with the collar against the little tool until it all clicks home, then put a dummy round in.
The springs weren't quite as well-finished as Lee would have you believe - I had to take the rough edges off the ends of the trigger spring (hairpin) with some fine emery paper but the rest were OK.
Bought mine through Brownells in the UK - cost me £30    but I think it will be worth it.
