3rd time trying to post this, damned internet service......

1st, cartridge stop spring was installed wrong. Fixed that, but it still wouldn't feed .38's, they'd jam every time. They consistently got past the cartridge stop.

Did some investigating and discovered the problem was that the stop wasn't swinging far enough over to block the rounds, it was just barely reaching the edge of the rims. The problem was the bevels on the stop and the bullet guide, where the stop pivots, the bevels needed more clearance to allow the stop to swing over farther.

So I drove the pin out and removed the stop from the bullet guide, recut the bevels on the stop to a bit steeper angles, which allow the cartridge stop to now swing to the center of the mag tube.

The stop now catches each round positively in the center instead of barely on the edge, and those little buggers can NOT get past it until they're supposed to! So, check your spring to make sure it's installed right, and THEN make sure the cartridge stop is swinging over FAR ENOUGH TO CATCH THE ROUNDS POSITIVELY!!

It was easy to fix, just had to ID the problem first. I made a video, but can't get it to upload.

Now that is gunsmithing, well done.

If you put just the http link in the post, when a reader clicks on it they will need to log into facebook. If you use the "Insert Web Video" toolbar in the Full Editor, it should embed the video in your post.

When you get to where you want the video posted, use the enter key to access a new line, click on the tool. Select the appropriate source from the drop-down menu and then place the link in the required field. Don't change any of the size boxes. That should work. I believe it is still going to depend on what type of access you allow to your facebook account or assigned to the shared video. Facebook is an odd duck, it is wired so that everything redirects to them and promotes an account and posting with them.

I'll try YouTube too.
