Using Dental Floss to Install M92 Bolt

Post by zissman »

I've got to give a shout out to Ranch Dog for the dental floss trick to install the bolt in a 92. I have a 92 in 357 that I could never get the harbor freight spring installed when I slicked the action. Today I thought I'd try again. For whatever reason whenever I touched the bolt with the lever the collar would jump off. I even trimmed the spring down to 1.25". I tried for 30 minutes to get it to work. I was giving up again and remembered the dental floss trick. It's a winner! I went from a nice smooth Rossi with a little hitch to a Rossi that's slick and fast. Can't wait to see how fast I can empty a mag tube now.

Thanks!!

I added that to the favorite list. Thank you . That will be far easier than removing "threads" from braded copper wire.
