Real avid.

Post by akuser47 »

I thought it as a gimmick as I never thought I needed it but darn. I've learned cleaning the bolt assembly can be really easy compared to my past Regimen not everything is a bogus gimmick.
One tool 12 uses some not as necessary but bolt waist scraper, inside n outside bolt tail, lug scraper, bolt face. All of which I've scrubbed clean before. Now alot easier we will see how it holds up. Has anyone else used this tool ? Drawbacks ? Positives? I'm not advertising only talking about this tool.

It does look like it has all the right shapes for just about anything.

My buddy swears by it and bought me one with a gift of 420 rounds of Federal m855 in ammo can. He has a huge surplus stockpile said belated Christmas presents. He was overseas during the holidays. So I am happy camper. Time will tell how much it really holds up to the carbon battle on the bolt assembly and carrier.

Keep us informed.
I've been meaning to get one or the other version of the bolt scrapers.

I was curious and checked amazon there are so many reviews that are positive I think I'm convinced. I've used it now on 6 bolt assemblies they thought were clean and showed them otherwise. I'm enjoying it. Hoping to biuld some carbon in both my ar15's this coming week to really test it out. Weather permitting. I think this tool will really shine for shooting wolf steel case ammo in our ar15 guns.

I'm one of those snobs that won't shoot that stuff if I've got anything else.

During the years I shot competition with one all I used was a proper sized drill bit spun with my fingers and a whole lot of Q-tips
