I removed the safety on my ranch hand because I hate it and I saw that a bunch of guys were already doing it. The firing pin just floats now, did I miss a step somewhere or does it just float when you remove the safety? I know I can keep it safe at half cock or empty chamber, just curious. Thanks.

Re: Floating firing pin
It floats on any model 92. If its loaded, the hammer needs to be at half cocked.

Re: Floating firing pin
Thanks very much. I wasn't sure if the safety added some type of resistance, I don't recall seeing/hearing the firing pin moving before it took it out. Thanks again.
