Using .25ACP To Plug Safety ?
Naturally I can't find the video this morning but that's an interesting idea.
A .25ACP just happens to be the wife's glove box pistol till I can convince her
to try something better ( larger caliber ). Legal in SC without a CWP.
So with cartridges handy and IF ( big IF ) I decide to remove Steve's Peep
after the Red Dot proves out my question is how to safely remove the
primer charge ?
The video doesn't show that detail ??? Anyone done that ??? Sounds a little
scary to me.
Thanks in advance ... Jim

Why don't you just shoot a round and then remove the spent primer?

That's too easy Michael. The unfired primer just looks better.
Just a thought anyway. Has to be an easy way to do it w/o
blowing a finger off.

How about using an inertia bullet puller and then put several drops of oil in the case and leave it sit for a day or two. This should render the primer inoperable. You can always test this by trying to fire the empty case. If this works, repeat the process.
At my age, there IS nothing better than shooting.

Grab spent primers from a loader. Or your bench if you have spent primers on hand ,and see if you can remove anvil inside it then pin punch the firing pin indent from the inside of the primer flat en it. Maybe work maybe not.

Remove the dimple from a spent primer, hmm, might try that first. Knew I could count on you
guys to come up with some ideas.

Take the brass down to remove the markings, then remark with the caliber of the rifle.

as long as yer at it, leave the primer out of the brass and after you've sized and shaped it for installation take it to a jeweler and have a nice diamond set in the primer pocket.
now, see how easy that is?
