Guys we are way off topic here disregarding those that are on topic! Though it has been funny we need to lead by example n keep the posts related to the topic, such as if you have somthing funny to ad to this make sure your posts still has somthing relating to OP's post. I dont want to start another thread or have to delet posts. So less see if we can get this back in focus.

I tried the Liquid Wrench brand and one that was in an orange can that I forget the brand. I was given a silicone sock that was supposed to protect against bumping in the safe and also stop rust. That thing let rust spots creep into the steel on a Colt and I was livid. Into the trash can it went. I went to Eezox for rust prevention and it works great. It's not a bad cleaner but I don't think it's the greatest thing as it's a dry lube. I'm just not that sold on dry lubes. I know they are supposed to no attract dirt and build-up. I prefer to see the oil. If I see it's getting dirty then it's field strip time to wipe and reapply lube.

Bob,

Try a can of the CRC silicone. I'm pretty sure Walmart has it.

I'm telling you, it's different. When you spray it on, it looks funny cause of the way the solvent dries. But I smear it around with my hand to make it look better. It'll be there years later, like you just sprayed it on.
