I have nicks and scratchs on the receiver, and would like to clean them up. does any one have experience trying to cold blue a rossi receiver and what kind of blue have you tried with either good or bad results.

You will more than likely see it as an obvious standout coverup. If you can polish it well then you may be able to pull it off It is better to refinish the part completly Not aseasy though I have cold blued here and there but as temp. till it could be done correctly. Maybe someone here has tips and tricks to help you blend the cold blue touch up better. Good luck

I would agree with this statement. I've found a Sharpe pen does a better job of cover up than the cold blueing.
