Well I have been here a few months now so I thought it was time to say hi.
I bought a pre-safety 20" stainless M92 in .357 magnum right before I joined up. I have spent the last 3 months reading all I can about these fantastic rifles while gathering the tools and parts required to get it running slick. I'm not sure how old the rifle is but it had not had many rounds down the barrel before I got it. I have to say I was surprised at how accurate it was at 50 metres shooting offhand. i have so much fun shooting this little Rossi it is fast becoming the first and only rifle I take out of the safe.
It is a great little community here and I look forward to sticking around a while.

Hello qikracer,
Australia is place I really want to visit some day.
How's gun ownership there now? Here in the USA we've heard some reports everything was confiscated there?

G'day mate, and welcome to the forum.
Have my new 24" .357-92 about 1 1/2 years, and love it for target shooting.

Re: Hi from Sydney, Australia
We had our semi auto long arms confiscated 20 years ago and heavy restrictions placed on pistol ownership. With the 20th anniversary of the Port Arthur shooting the anti gunners have been on the war path, particularly trying to ban the Adler lever action shotgun that was recently introduced here (they succeeded in lobbying the government to ban the import of the 7 shot version, so a 5 shot was imported instead).bamboozler wrote:Hello qikracer,

We just had an election last weekend for our federal government which has seen big swings against the major parties and a good number of pro gun smaller parties elected, may be a couple of weeks yet before it is all decided though.
I spent 8 weeks travelling the USA and would love to get back and see more (and play with all those fun firearms we can't have here). At the moment the exchange rate is well in favour of you guys coming here.
