San Luis Valley Colorado
I used to own a Puma 454 Casull with Marbles cowboy peep sight on it. I had to sell it when I had an aneurysm in my left optic nerve, eye is all better now, but I have not been able to replace my favorite truck gun.
I loved that my Puma would feed and shoot 335 LBT hot handloads and have better downrange accuracy and energy on target than a 30-30.
My LGS has one each stainless and blued 45 Colts, for a good price, but I am holding out for another 454.
I do pro photography, wildlife and kick butt Colorado outdoors landscapes
I play guitar in a band called Gnometown Heros, play Telecaster, Mesa Boogie, Les Paul and acoustic. Pretty much pro level but don't make the big bucks, but do get to hang with some famous people from time to time and have fun performing.
M1 Garand, Ruger M77MkIIV in .243, Ruger Bisley in 45 Colt, Ruger SR 1911 for recoil therapy
Couple of my better wildlife photos
Sandhill Cranes

Welcome aboard. Great photography, I see Great Sand Dunes still make sunrises and sunsets like it did in '67.

Re: San Luis Valley Colorado
Welcome from the far south west corner of your state, by Dolores.
The sandhill crane spectacle must be in full swing over your way.
Are you photographing any of those few whitetail deer that are in to your area?
.45 Colt loaded up is no slacker. Have you read Paco Kelly's article in leverguns.com?
Good to hear the eye issue is resolved. Some years ago I had surgery for detached retinas. My doc assured me it was not from the heavy recoiling rifles (9.3 x 74 rmm) that I was shooting. Scary though.

Re: San Luis Valley Colorado
Welcome to the forum! Might have to order in a 454 as they haven't been cataloged for two years now!

Re: San Luis Valley Colorado
Welcome,
Some sweet pics.
Should be some nice mountain bike trails not too far away as well.
