They make fine boots I have several pair and have always loved them. Don't have the funds but the good thing is the ones I have are still solid now I just need to address the smell they aren getting funky

A good investment is a Peet's Boot Dryer. Every time you take them off they go on the dryer. Won't have the issue you are having and the boots will last a very long time. I think mine is about 30 years old. Looks and works like the day it was bought. The only time I turn it off is when I move it or take it to another hunting location.
Are any of the Danners made here any more? I was looking for new boots last year and all were made in China. I had some Matterhorns after we were allowed to wear other boots in the Marine Corps and they were the best I've had. Pricewise, they are on par with Danner, but made in the USA. Matterhorn has cheaper ones made elswhere, but if the prices are on line with Danner, they should be made here.
They have a feature on their website where you can search for boots that are made in the USA. I also really like Whites boots, but I am not sure if they make military boots?
