Thanks for the inspiration

I wish to thank everyone on this great forum for all the positive responses to my stories over the past 5 years. They have inspired me to write once again. In the late 80's, early 90's, I attempted a career as an outdoor writer. Pretty much every article I submitted was published. But, I realized that could not do the hunt/fishing trip, photos and write the article fast enough to pay the bills. Your responses have rekindled my desire to write.

My first article in nearly 30 years is slated to be published in Bear Hunting Magazine's July/Aug edition.

Thank you all for the encouragement.
David

Well done, your stories come from your heart. I mean that your love of what you do is sent with the words you share. In this your stories strike nerves. So keep it up you have a natural talent.

AK, thank you so much. Your compliments touched me deeply.

I am so lucky to have come from a family with a great "story telling" tradition. Weekends would have 10 to 20 relatives gathered at my grandparent's house. The men folk would occupy the living room telling tales of recent and not so recent hunting and fishing adventure. I would be cross-legged on the floor absorbing every word.

The last of the great story tellers from that living room counsel passed a few months ago. I miss them all:
Pappy, Uncle Allen, Uncle Bill, Cousins; Robert and Larry. Dad was a quiet man, but he shared many stories with me privately. I am fortunate to have had these men in my life.
