That is the beauty of retirement, you have the time to finish doing nothing.

I retired a few years back, and my wife has been running me ragged ever since.

If you had one or more abiding hobbies before ya retire, you'll have activities after ya retire - with more time to enjoy them.

A neighbor once asked me what I was going to do with all my time when I retired. I asked him what he did on weekends, and he gave me some examples. I replied, "dude, I can now do that every day."

I went on vacation Dec. 1, 2009. That's the way I like to look at retirement and I keep busy (I read a stat. by the SS folks that the average life expectancy after retirement is only 5 years, mainly because sittin' around doin' nuttin' often leads to complete retirement!). Even with my bum knee, I try to keep active, but casting and reloading is mostly done sitting...

Must be a lot of sedentary folks out there, they were probably couch potatoes before they retired.

I find retirement to be nice since the work isn't messing up my hobby schedule anymore. I probably need to limit my hobbies a bit at least in number. Give more quality time to each.
