Hate to respond to my own thread but im really liking Rugers new PC carbine which is value priced and will accept doublestack magazines from their SR, American, or Security line of pistols in addition to Glock mags. Its only in 9mm right now but the rumormill is grinding for 40 and 45 to be available soon, of which 45 seems like a fun choice

Looked a Rossi's FB page and it is dead concerning the Shot Show. Saw a view of their booth and it is the same, dead. They have a couple of leverguns on the wall, I think there was three, and a new line of rimfires. phffft! I think they are done.

Taurus has done some things to their 1911 and are coming out with a Commander and Officer. I would be interested in the Officer for conceal carry. I love their PT745 Millenium Pro, even have a NIB in the safe incase I ever wear the first out. I'm a fan of single stack, compact 45s.

Not what we were hoping for concerning lever guns.

Their catalog is out, and it is what I thought and worse. Opportunities don't come along often in the firearm industry, but this outfit has managed to squander probably the best opportunity offered in the last 6 to 7 decades. Their parent wanted to compete in the plastic pistol market. They blew that too, but there was no opportunity in that attempt and it cost them millions. Some real idiots are running the show!

I agree, Ranch Dog. I'm glad I stocked up on my 92s a few years ago. I have all calibers except .454 casul, which doesn't interest me. I would like to find a Rio Grande, in 45/70 to add to that cals collection, or maybe even a .30-30. Rossi is a sad company. They really blew their opportunity in the lever market.

I was on Rossi's web page hoping to see something, anything, shot show related.
actually I was praying for an announcement of them doing a new chambering [how hard could it be to make a 38-40 or a 32-20] or at least them announcing a 44-40 in a 20-24" stainless type thing.
man it was nuthin... nuthin but disappointment.

This looks like a most excellent refresh of the old PC9. Still, I don't think I'll be replacing my Beretta CX4 any time soon. One disappointment of the .40 S&W (and the 9mm, too, I think) is that it doesn't gain any velocity out of a longer barrel. The .45 does, so, yeah, a PC45 might be of interest. My CX4 is in .40 and my shooting buddy's is in .45, but the .45 mags don't interchange with the PX4, go figure. I wonder if Ruger is fixin' to make another run at the LE market?
