RD - I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your 3-legged friend. She lucked out with your family - sure sounds like you all gave her a great life!

It took 2 pups to get my wife and I back to where we were after the loss of Nutmeg, our 17-year-old husky/shepherd mix in 2014. She never made it to the vet, she died in my lap on the couch. That was a tough day. She'd lived a good, long life with hundreds of Shenandoah National Park hikes under her paws!

Thanks, Adam. My wife was gone all day so I was outside, sure was quiet.

My condolences.

Currently sitting on the porch with my dog drinking a beer after a long week of work. I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't here with me.

Thank you. It is strange how a critter can become involved in everything you do.

I have to admit that I have avoided reading this string up until now. Be aware that there are many like me, who feel your loss too deeply to express it in a timely fashion.

Believe me, Harry, I truly understand your comments and have been the very same myself with other's losses. Your words are very appreciated.
