The lost of a good dog is difficult. It seems Millie was one of the best. My wife and I have said good-bye to 5 of our furry faced companions in the last 18 years. Hardly, a day goes by when we don't tell a story about them. They become such a part of our lives, our history and who we are. Sometimes, I think my dogs raised me as much as I raised them.

Michael,

What sad news. How do we ever overcome our loss of these pets? But, we do although we never forget them and all their antics. This is my second attempt to write something to help console you but that's not working for me today. I am truly sorry for this loss to your family and will join you in mourning for Millie.

We both know that another dog will somehow find its way to your ranch and also your heart. I hope it will be another remarkable as its predecessor Millie.

Frank

All the wonders God can wrap up in a 4 legged friend are priceless. May you be supplied with another to ease the empty spot.

Thanks. Yes, grandkids and a good dog are a mix made in heaven!

Thank you! I actually plan on working at our pet adoption center as they really need help, especially since the hurricane. As people evacuated away from the coast and passed through our community we had over one thousand dogs left in the City park. Millie was a jealous lover and I knew it would really hurt her if dad came home smelling of other dogs so I've been putting it off. I have no plans to bring any home just help at this new facility that is overloaded as they try to figure out how to handle the surge.
