Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Post by Ranch Dog »

For those of us here in the US, we have a long holiday weekend which typically heralds in the summer months with all the outdoor activities that bring in. I suspect that those that bought us this opportunity to enjoy and express our freedoms through this weekend and beyond are often forgotten. I saw this cartoon and thought it said it all.

Had a Grandfather that came to this country right after WW1 never got the full story as he never really spoke much English. Father served in the Navy in Sieapan during WW2. One Uncle fought in Korea and another in Vietnam. I am forever grateful for what they have done.

Greetings
Somewhere wherever you go "Tell a Veteran Thank you ! "
But Monday take the time to go and tell a family gathered around a stone marker of a loved one " Thank you for what your loved has done for us."

My Grandpa fought in the "Great War" but on the other side. They left the Faderland when my dad was 6 months old. My dad and his two brothers where in the U.S. Navy.
