For once I got my timing right. Glad I got mine when I did, since they were like hen's teeth then, and now they're gone.

Prices have gone up. Model number for 56001 20" blued 357 changed so im assuming others did too FWIW. Improved design maybe (hopefully?)

I decided to go with a Marlin last year to add to the Winchester.
IF Rossi brings the RG back AND gets the bugs out AND seems to be standing behind their product I might go there eventually but I'm leery given the problems many members have had with the RG over the past couple three years.

Around here marlins go for about $600 not on sale for the classic. I guess ya ain't saving anything if the RG won't function. How ya like the new Marlin?

I like it but I've been working to the point I haven't been able to hit the range with it.
That should change over the next month or so.
