Well Panic buying and priceing is already starting up.

Post by akuser47 »

Image I was at local Walmart and saw prices for ammo already going up. I guess it's not bad yet at least ammo is there. I am hoping it will not be like last election but with Massachusetts new supposed gun law announced today. Its a fire we need to watch and fight by voting to stomp it before the fire destroys what America is and can ever be. Looks like ruff stuff, next P.O.T.U.S. will be the deciding factor of Americans and what rights they take away or grant us all.

Might be a regional change. I was at Cabela's in Greenville SC yesterday, and the ammo selection was the best its ever been (even an entire endcap of .22LR), and prices were unchanged, except for sales on hunting ammo.

Neither candidate will prevent further craziness. Call me part of the problem.

Agreed, I don't wish to start any type of political debate only trying to gauge price and availability in your areas. We still have plenty on the shelves. I was looking as always for rim fire ammo and saw the girl changing the ammo prices up on many like .45acp, 9mm .223, .308, 40sw all going up. so who knows. I am in no need of any I can reload them all just was curious is all. I hate most threads like this and will delete it if political gets entrenched in it. I am only looking for ammo status in your areas I'm in Hancock county Ohio. I don't mean to come off rude it's just I know how these threads can get is all. Please share if you see any ammo absences or price jumps county and state if you can thanks. +corn

I didn't buy much over the last eight years other than purchases to meet my "plan". I tired to forecast what I would need to reach the point that I will probably just about stop shooting based on what I've seen my dad do. My plan wasn't based on the typical worries but I wanted to buy everything I could think of before I retired while I had a good income and knowing that the prices would only go up. Two years into it, I'm doing very well on my plan with no future worries about supplies.

I was in Dunhams (sp) this week and they had a large amount of S & B solid nos .22 at a fair price considering. If they had been hollow points, I'd bought a lot.

.22 is still not available here after nearly three years so I cannot comment on its price. I don't look at prices on any other ammo with exception of green tips because I reload as stated. They're hovering around $0.45 locally, $0.41 online. I may buy some bulk 9mm for the right price and save my lead, powder, primers in the event I HAVE to use them later.

CA has passed a number of massive gun control bills and there's a referendum on the ballot for still more this presidential election cycle.
Our next governor will probably be Gavin Newsom and he's the backer for the referendum.
CA has more or less been in a constant panic the past 8 years.

Down here in Dayton I looked at the ammo cabinet at the local Walmart today it was pretty well stocked except for 22RF. I suspect that gets snagged before it get shelved.

Last week our local Cabellas and Field and Stream seemed well stocked with ammo and components.
