I absolutely Love the A-10! Several years ago (2002) while fishing a bass tourney on Toledo Bend (TX/LA border lake), my partner and I were "strafed" by a pair of A-10's at about 100 feet above tree top level .... TWICE. It created enough wake to rock my little bass boat pretty good, and the third pass at a more decent altitude they slowed down and tipped their wings. Man, what a patriotic moment.

I just had this same discussion on another forum. And since I am a very proud father I will tell it here also......
After 15 years with the USAF as a Boom Operator she now holds one of the 4 civilian positions with Boeing doing that same thing....although it has a much fancier sounding title. At present she is involved in development of the next generation tanker.... the KC-46 Pegasus. And yes, the new tanker is very different from the KC-135 and KC-10. She was not on the first flight....... but I do believe she was on the second. I will not be surprised if she appears in future video reports such as this:

The A10, there are a lot of people in this world that need to suddenly look up and over their shoulder into the sun and only see it!

i love the wart hog but am a bit disappointed. read the thread title and thought there'd be an old picture of bo derek (who was definitely a 10, but no hog!).
