AWESOME

I've known people that drag race weird stuff, compete in cooking competitions, and all manner of hobbies. In the end the competitions are the same no matter genre so I always cheer for the underdog or the one with a different approach than the group all doing the same thing.

Kewl don!

As for the air racing in tiny little airplanes...
Used to work with a couple formula one air racing guys:

[BBvideo 560,340][/BBvideo]
Jon Sharp used to take off in NEMESIS about a half lap behind everyone else and by the time the race was over he'd usually not only won the race but lapped half the field. They literally built the airplane so that it fit him. He said the airplane he started out in was small enough that he had to leave his shoes with the truck that towed him to the line and the canopy was against his helmet.

Jon just went through another set of record runs with NXT and NXT will be going to the Smithsonian to keep NEMESIS company.

Swapping paint takes on a whole new meaning in the air!

I saw nemesis at either Oshkosh or sun &fun one year. Yes that plane is tiny. Hard to believe it can go that fast on an O-200.

I thought it funny how they carry "THE PROP" in a metal box to protect it. Said that they had made several duplicates in wood, metal, plastics, and none of them out did or even matched the performance of "THE PROP". That's why they keep it protected in the metal box! They only use it when it's actual race time. Even practice laps were done with a, practice prop!!

Our boat props are almost the same way, in that there is always one in particular, that will out do the rest. But since we race, and things happen, we don't get to attached to them like Sharps did.

That NXT is BaddAzz!!!!!!!
