Hey guys - just kind of experimenting with the editing features I have here and so I am going to try an post some pics.
This is what snow bound folks do with the time they have on their hands!
Hope that one of the pics shows me and the dawgz together on the internet...LOL

Thanks for the feedback, AK, and you can see my two canine helpers really keep me on task!

BTW, that is a repro Springfield 1903 sling with 1-1/4" Uncle Mike's swivels in parkerized finish. I can swap that setup across several guns that way - on the little Rossi carbine, it is a little "overkill" but it does fit and that's the idea! I've always got to have a sling setup on my longarms - shotguns, too.

Alright so the bottom line on the snow out my way, in Alexandria/Northern VA, is that since last Thursday (a week ago) when things got started I have been out of work (I teach 5th grade) for a week. Tomorrow has already been called off, so that'll be 7 days of me not being in my classroom of 27 11-year-olds.

Am I complaining?

Forced vacation with full pay and canine friends to play with ? Light rain
yesterday took care of the little remaining snow. Shelves are stocked with
milk and bread once more so we're good till the next snowflake.

Here in Utah we got this stuff, it was snow when it fell, but turned into a slurpy,,it's all slushy and wet, and muddy, then freezes, yuk.

Not the stuff we had when I was kid, and that stuff didn't match the pictures my Mom took of my dad loading hay, we had 8 to 12 feet on the flat in the 40's and 50's. I remember our work horses pulling the big hay sled, riding in it to the school bus.

My brother and I got in trouble for riding the motorcycles over the roof of the house, snow was that deep. in the early 70's.
Don't ask me to do anything where where I can't take Bible and Gun, I would leave Dog home, but reluctantly.
