Rifle Accuracy Training Tip

Post by LowKey »

Stumbled across this tip online:

"...with no live ammunition in the rifle, balance a quarter on the barrel near the muzzle, aim at a target and try pulling the trigger without the quarter falling off the barrel, do this until you can do this every single "shot". practice pulling the trigger while using absolutely no muscles except for your trigger finger in your firing hand."

I wouldn't get past the first step before trying to pull the trigger.

I agree with Gas, the first trick is to balance the quarter on the round barrel and then mount the gun without loosing the quarter. I could probably do it on the two octagons, but round would be a challenge.

Balancing a quarter on the barrel was easier than anticipated.

With the sound on in the video, you can hear the trigger click when "squeezed" (per AK).

Rifle is a Savage Axis in 223, thin barrel.

Lol nice work. This is also a great way to gain good muscle memory for shooting a particular gun. Its why dry fire practice is used in some training. Teach you the muscle memory. If done enough it's like blinking. Second nature.
