Back On Track

Post by Jaybm »

Went to the range this morning to run the basic zeroing on the Red Dot
starting at ~ 10 yards out to 75 yards which is about the limit for these
ole eyes of mine.

The 10 and 25 targets were right on with no adjustment.

50 yards was a challenge for the non-dominate eye and it was wild so I won't show it
but adjusted the Red Dot and brought it back to my satisfaction.

Vortex makes a 2X magnifier for this Red Dot and thinking about getting one. One of this
mornings shooters asked what magnification my " scope " had and was surprised when I said
none.

I'm getting all kinds of compliments on this lil carbine, last week it was the woodwork finish,
this week a shooter said " I like your John Wayne big loop lever. " I didn't have the heart to
tell him it was that or nothing when I ordered the 38sp / 357mag.

For the record, this morning it was Extreme's 158g RFN plated over 5.0g Tite Group, .357mag of
course.

First day of Autumn was fantastic ! Jim

I'd call that "minute of deer" shootin'. Looks like you had a fun day.

It looks like you're back on track friend. Nice shooting. (I'm glad you're not tracking me!)
