Range Day 0716

Postby Ohio3Wheels » 17 Jul 2017 13

Made it to the range yesterday with the 357 '92 and the Sharps. Trying to get an early start on hunting loads this year and I think I'm happy with the 40-65 loads. Still need to try some different inserts in the globe but this was 5 at 50 using the cross hair insert (not a great choice on a black bull). 400 gr cast, 60 gr 2F, Starline cases and Federal LRM.

The '92 on the other hand wasn't at all happy with anything I brought for it, so no pictures :( .

Elevation is set spot on.

Shoulda posted the failures too. We can learn a lot from those.

Good evening
That 400 grainer should plow a deep nasty leak out hole on whatever it slams into. Maybe an elk will amble along your way. You certainly have enough gun for even those big green stuff munchers.
