First deer

Post by phonejack »

With my R 92. It's a 24", stainless octogon in .357. I switched over to scoped rifles in the late 70's. It was supposed to rain today ( it did ) so, I decided to give the Rossi a chance. 5 point appeared about 40 yards away. One shot behind the shoulder, it ran about 30 yards and dropped. Bullet was a pass thru. Load was a mild 11.3 of 2400 pushing a Hornady 158 hp.

good job.
I like 2400 and it's cousin AA-4100.
I have run it up and down the cartridge scale from the 25-20 through the 45-70 like it was the only powder available.
